Caribbean Airlines is the national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago while its subsidiary, Caribbean Airlines-Air Jamaica Transition Limited, is the flag carrier of Jamaica. Caribbean Islands are amongst the world’s most popular tourist destinations in the world. Millions of people travel down to the region each year and for a good reason. It was also locally known with its shorter name, B-wee.

The new entity serves an in-flight magazine to ensure an entertaining journey for its passengers. It is known as Caribbean Beat. This magazine was previously available at all BWIA West Indies Airways flights. In addition, long-haul flights of the carrier also include a movie while a video, Caribbean Essence is shown on all flights. It is one of the few airlines which serve complimentary refreshments, meals and two checked bags. Caribbean Beat mainly covers the English-speaking society of the region with emphasis on sports, arts, music, festivals, culture, environment and other interesting phenomena. In 2009, the magazine celebrated its 100th issue.

Caribbean Airlines has been immensely successful ever since the start of its first flight. It has enjoyed high profits and carries tourists to and from North as well as South America very frequently.
