Caribbean Airlines

Exploring the Wonderments of the Caribbean with Caribbean Airlines

There are numerous airlines around the globe which are providing flights for Caribbean Islands. For tourists from the Americas, Caribbean Airlines work wonders. Caribbean Airlines is the national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago while its subsidiary, Caribbean Airlines-Air Jamaica Transition Limited, is the flag carrier of Jamaica. Caribbean Islands are amongst the world’s most popular tourist destinations in the world. Millions of people travel down to the region each year and for a good reason. The scenic beauty, accommodation, beaches, climate, food, partying and dining found there remain incomparable. From Europe to the Americas through Asia, there are hundreds of places where tourism has been thriving since years but the extremity and popularity of Caribbean is completely distinct. Each holiday season, people begin looking for cheap airfares, promotions and packages for Caribbean Islands. Many of them succeed in finding while others are forced to wait for the next season. During peak seasons, there is usually a lot of traffic as large influxes of tourists pour into the Caribbean and hence, flights not only remain too busy but also the packages finish quickly. With Caribbean Airlines though, this is not the case.

Regions Covered by Caribbean Airlines:

The latter is also known as Air Jamaica. Within the Caribbean region, this airline serves St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda, Bridgetown in Barbados, Nassau in The Bahamas, Kingston and Montego Bay in Jamaica, St. George’s in Grenada, Philipsburg in Saint Maarten, Scarborough in Tobago and Port of Spain in Trinidad. Moving towards North America, the national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago also serves the Canadian city of Toronto. Inside the United States, the carrier flies to Fort Lauderdale, New York City, Miami, Philadelphia and Orlando. Its South American destinations include Paramaribo in Suriname, Georgetown in Guyana and Caracas in Venezuela. Until before this airline began its flights under the current name on the 1st of January 2007, BWIA West Indies Airways was the national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago. It was also locally known with its shorter name, B-wee.

In-Flight Services:
The new entity serves an in-flight magazine to ensure an entertaining journey for its passengers. It is known as Caribbean Beat. This magazine was previously available at all BWIA West Indies Airways flights. In addition, long-haul flights of the carrier also include a movie while a video, Caribbean Essence is shown on all flights. It is one of the few airlines which serve complimentary refreshments, meals and two checked bags. Caribbean Beat mainly covers the English-speaking society of the region with emphasis on sports, arts, music, festivals, culture, environment and other interesting phenomena. In 2009, the magazine celebrated its 100th issue.

Caribbean Airlines has been immensely successful ever since the start of its first flight. It has enjoyed high profits and carries tourists to and from North as well as South America very frequently. Giving away reasonably priced airfares all throughout the year and fairly satisfactory services, the airline has largely attracted holidaymakers; many of whom have it as the first choice to travel with, for summer holidaying. The Jamaican flag carrier is a promising new addition to the Caribbean air traffic and is sure to serve the region for times to come with increasingly bettering services.
